“War Wheels” at Foxfield Railway on the 16/17th May. It was a great success again this year despite the showery weather, and is getting bigger and better each year. This year, the MVT trailer was present, as was Pip Robinson on Saturday and Boyan Holmes both days representing the MVT. We had a short road run on the Saturday evening, after most of the public have departed, to the Boar Inn. As usual, there were many North Staffs Area vehicles present, ranging from Jeeps to Steve Rodman’s Diamond T and trailer combination (M-19 Tank transporter). Land Rovers, a Greyhound, Halftrack, Ward LaFrance wrecker, Bedford MWs, Daimler Ferret, Leyland Hippo, GMC trucks, Gun tractors and a couple of Staff Cars also appeared. There were various displays and stalls including field gun live firing, full size and miniature steam train rides, station buffet and bar and live music. The only disappointment was that the BBMF Dakota went U/S and was unable to attend.
