"Keeping our Mechanical Veterans Alive"

MVT North Staffs Area

Welcome to the website of the North Staffs Area. Our members own, look after and restore a range of ex-military vehicles from the UK and overseas. Vehicles are mostly WW2 including Jeeps, Dodges, Diamond Ts, motorcycles, bicycles, half-tracks, transporters, recovery vehicles, ambulances and utility vehicles, but we also have pre and post war vehicles. As with some of our members, you don't need a military vehicle to join us.

Join the Military Vehicle Trust

Not a member yet?  To get more involved and support the largest charity in the World dedicated to keeping historic military vehicles alive, you can join the MVT as a member. MVT members benefit from a comprehensive package of support and you don’t need to own a vehicle to join; you just have to have a passion for keeping to mechanical veterans alive to join - we have many re-enactors, living historians and vehicle enthusiasts who are members.

Our work covers three key areas,
each of which reflect our three core principles:

Together, we

Restore and Conserve

Our collective expertise and experience provide mutual support to help members develop the technical skills required to overcome the challenges encountered when restoring, maintaining and running their vehicles.

This work ensures that our vehicles will survive for many years to come and will continue to contribute to the legacy of our military heritage.

The authenticity of our vehicles is reflected in frequent requests to attend events and for film and TV work.

Educate and Inspire

Each year, our members organise and attend thousands of events, school visits, training events and ceremonies, up and down the country and abroad.

When we exhibit our vehicles in this way, we showcase the important role played by our historic vehicles which is of great educational value to the general public.

This contributes to the advancement of the public knowledge, understanding and appreciation of our rich military heritage.

Honour and Respect

In addition to showcasing our historic vehicles, we also pay tribute to the men and women who built, maintained, and used them.

We help foster appreciation of all our Armed Forces and commemorate their service to the nation.

We are proud of our association with organisations such as the Royal British Legion, The National Memorial Arboretum and Armed Forces Day and attend many of their events up and down the country.
